The Virgin Mary, Miriam and Jewish Reactions to Marian Devotion in the High Middle Ages
at the Spring 2011 Skirball-Tikvah Joint Workshop on Monday, March 28th, from 12-2PM. Professor Robert Chazan, S. H. and Helen R. Scheuer Professor of Hebrew and Judaic Studies served as commentator.
The Skirball-Tikvah Joint Workshops are held in collaboration with the Faculty of NYU's Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies. Sessions are designed such that each presenter from one group of scholars will receive comments from a member of the other group. The format is similar to other Workshops, wherein the presenter speaks first, the commentator responds, and then discussion is opened to all attendees.
